New installations

The SAX Power storage system does not require an inverter on the battery side. Therefore, no expensive hybrid inverter is needed for a new installation.

Battery expansions

SAX power storage systems can be expanded at any time. Thanks to the special balancing method, which optimally balances the charge status of the cells, weaker cells hardly affect the performance of the entire battery anymore.

When expanding later, the new battery modules deliver full performance and make the advantage of SAX power storage systems even clearer.

Retrofitted components

We use cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate cells, which are four times safer than the previously common NMC cells. In addition, the special SAX Power circuit offers extra safety through individual monitoring and switching of the battery cells. If a fault occurs, the cell switches off within 0.0002 seconds. This virtually eliminates the risk of fire and explosion. After shutdown, the entire system is below the safety voltage, eliminating any risk to the installer during maintenance work.

Conventional storage systems already lose energy in standby mode and thus produce unwanted heat. With an efficiency of 99% for the conversion, the SAX Power Home has a negligibly small loss, meaning hardly any heat is generated.

With SAX Power technology, the performance of the battery series is no longer determined by the weakest cell in the series, extending the battery’s lifespan by up to 50%. To use the battery as economically as possible and maximize its lifespan, we employ a completely new form of compensation: rotating charge compensation. This fully utilizes the capacity of each cell through individual charging and discharging.

Cost savings

Since SAX Power storage directly outputs AC voltage, the inverter on the battery side is superfluous, eliminating a significant cost factor. This means that for a retrofit, only the SAX Power Home is needed for the existing PV system, without the additional inverter for the battery. For a new installation, you only need a normal PV inverter instead of a hybrid inverter for the PV system. This saves money and effort.

Compared to conventional products, the SAX Power battery is significantly smaller and lighter. The inverter as an additional installation is completely superfluous. This way, up to 30% space and weight can be saved. If additional energy is needed, the SAX Power Home can be easily expanded to three modules with a total of 15.6 kWh. This is also an important advantage for e-mobility applications.
